About Us

Who is Close to Home Video Productions?

CTH Video began in Western Kentucky in 2000 and quickly became the leader in video production for

the region. From weddings to sporting events and commercial work, CTH established a quality of work

that was second to none, and at a reasonable price.

In 2002, CTH Video moved to Louisville and instantly came to the head of the wedding production field.

With an emphasis on quality production using state of the art equipment, CTH has determined to change

  the way people look at the art of wedding videography. Instead of a videographer being last on the list of

wedding vendors to chose for your wedding, CTH Video should be at the top.

Why do you need a professional video of your wedding?

Because can your really trust Uncle Johnny or your friend who has a camera and tells you, “Oh, yeah I can shoot

a wedding.”? At Close to Home we understand that your wedding day is one of the most important days in your

life, which is why you need a professional to tape your wedding. After over 400 weddings and over NINE

years of experience we can say with certainty, "We know how to shoot a wedding!”

Sometimes still photographs just don't capture the moment as well as video, and your wedding day is one of

those times. We can cover all aspects of your big day, from the ceremony to the reception and anything in between.

Memories fade over time, but a professional DVD production will last a lifetime.

Kris and his staff has worked on hundreds of television, film and theatrical productions and understands exactly

what it takes to make a production its best. No shaky camera work or inaudible vows, we get it right the first and

We were awarded our first international award in 2005 from the "Communicator Awards" based in Arlington,

Texas., and have since been awarded 6 others, including "Best A/V Production Company in Louisville" By

"Business First" in 2007 and 2008.

What type of equipment do you use?

At CTH Video we use only state-of-the-art video cameras and video editing equipment. Utilizing 3 CCD Cannon

digital video cameras, we are able to provide our clients outstanding picture quality for a fraction of the cost of

most companies. All editing takes place on high powered Macintosh computers using Final Cut Pro software, as

well as various Editor's Toolkits designed for weddings. UHF wireless microphones and other microphones are

used during the ceremony to capture all the vows, speaking parts, singers and musicians.
